What’s your Strategy for the Toronto Auto Show?

February 10th, 2014  |  Auto Insurance

The Toronto Auto Show is a huge event. There is so much to see and so much to do that if you want to do everything that you are interested in, you need to have a strategy. While most people go to the auto show with an idea of what they want to accomplish and see, having a strategy can ensure that you don’t leave disappointed.

The first thing to get clear is your reason for going to the auto. Are you going for fun? Are you looking at new cars that you might want to purchase? Are you covering the event for work? The reason you are going will have an impact on how you approach taking everything in.

Another thing that you need to factor into your decision is time. How long are you planning on going? Just for the day? Are you planning on attending multiple days? Which days are you attending? When you go and for how long could have an impact on your ability to see certain displays or demonstrations.

Tips for Creating an Auto Show Strategy

Having a strategy is a good idea if you want to get the most out of your trip to the auto show. Here is what you need to do:

  1. Buy your tickets in advance: This will save you some time and you can avoid waiting in line. Plus, you will save 10% if you buy your tickets online.
  2. Research before going: Spend a little bit of time on the Toronto Auto Show website looking into the features, promotions, and cars that will be appearing during the show. Make note of the times and dates of the displays. Some may not be available throughout the entire show or may be a special attraction.
  3. Make a list: Make a list of everything that you want to see at the auto show. It is also a good idea to rank them in order of importance, so you can make sure you can squeeze in the most important things first, just in case you run short on time.
  4. Review the floor plan: The Toronto Auto Show website has floor plans and maps of the Convention Centre outlining the displays and vendors. Use this information to map out the places you want to visit. Consider printing off the maps you will have be able to better navigate your way through all the people and displays without getting lost.

If you follow these tips before you go to the show, you will be able to see all your favorite attractions.
