March Madness on the Roads Part 4: The Most Annoying Driving Habits

March 19th, 2013  |  Insurance

This is the 4th and final part of our 4 part series that examines the most annoying driving habits. This post will take a look at four of the most annoying parking lot driving habits.

Driving around in a busy parking lot can be a stressful situation for any driver. With so much going on, it can be tough to navigate safely through a parking lot full of cars, pedestrians, seagulls and shopping carts.

The following is four of the most annoying driving habits that you will experience in parking lots:

  • Drivers that back out of parking spots without looking: We see this all the time. How many times have you almost been hit by another driver that starts to back out of a parking spot without looking?
  • Blocking the parking lot waiting for a spot close to the store: Why does the front of the store always seem to be jammed with cars? Because too many drivers are trying to park as close to the store as possible and are blocking traffic.
  • Taking two parking spots when parking: Everyone has been in a situation where you are at the mall during Christmas, parking spaces are a premium and you see people that are double parked and taking up two parking spots for no reason at all.
  • Parking in the handicap spot without a permit: There is simply no excuse for this at all. This is both annoying and disrespectful for those who need to use these parking spaces.

We also want to hear from you! What do you consider to be some of the most annoying driving habits? What driving habits get under your skin?
