March Madness on the Roads Part 3: The Most Annoying Driving Habits

March 18th, 2013  |  Insurance

In part 3 of our 4 part series that examines the most annoying driving habits, we will take a look at four of the most annoying highway driving habits.

If you live in a big city, then highway driving is the norm, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t see things that are out of the norm all the time.

Here is four of the most annoying highway driving habits that we need to avoid at all costs:

  • Drivers that cut across traffic to exit on an off ramp: How many times do you see vehicles in front of you cut off traffic by crossing three lanes of traffic to make their exit? Too often if you ask us. Doing this is not worth the risk – wait until the next exit to get off the highway.
  • Driving slowly in the passing lane: If you are going to drive in the passing lane you need to keep up with the flow of traffic. It drives people crazy when they are in the passing lane and the car in front of them is driving slow and impeding the flow of traffic.
  • Making lane changes without signalling: Drivers cut other people off all the time because they simply fail to signal when they change lanes. This habit is as annoying as it gets, plus it can lead to an accident.
  • Drivers that will not let you merge in when entering the highway: There is nothing worse than entering the busy highway and no one will let you merge into traffic. And, this situation only becomes more stressful when you see that your lane is about to end ahead.

We also want to hear from you! What do you consider to be some of the most annoying driving habits? What driving habits get under your skin?

Stay tuned for Part 4, which takes a look at annoying parking lot driving habits
